Baby Hunter

Some of you might recognize this adorable baby from the ever popular image I use on my website and business cards, it's Hunter Moulds!

Well he is now five months (!!!) and I was privileged to spend some time with the Moulds Family and capture a casual sunday afternoon.

The shoot was too exciting for Hunter, he fell asleep halfway through!

Baby Talia!!

Most everyone in my world has heard about the saga that is Baby Talia. Alex and Silva came across my services on craigslist and they hired me to shoot a pregnancy session, the actual live birth and an in home newborn session. Silva was due April 5th and when I planned my trip home to celebrate my birthday, I didn't think it would be an issue seeing it was 9 days after the due date. But fast forward to the night before I was supposed to leave, baby Talia was not ready to grace us with her presence!!! The doctor suggested to induce the monday that I was back in town and so all parties were happy, the next day however, Talia had turned in the womb and had to be induced early. I received an email the night of my birthday to let me know she had arrived, happy and healthy. I did a little tipsy birthday dance and counted down the days I had to wait to meet the little one.

Sunday, I got to meet Talia and spend some time with the gloating parents and take these beautiful shots.

Check out the framed pregnancy pics in the back :)

How appropriate is her onesie!? She was WELL worth the wait!

My city across the bay.

SAN FRANCISCO.
I googled to find quotes that relate to San Francisco, to share with the picture that I took on my way home from a job and having lunch with my ladies in the city. I came across too many to just choose one. I have this theory that if I ever move to San Francisco the romance I have with the city will slowly dissipate, it is so special to be able to come and go and with each coming I realize what a special city it truly is.

"One day if I do go to heaven~
I'll look around and say, 'It ain't bad, but it ain't San Francisco. "

"You know what it is? San Francisco is a golden handcuff with the key thrown away."John Steinbeck

"The Bay Area is so beautiful, I hesitate to preach about heaven while I'm here. "
-Billy Graham

"I'm proud to have been a Yankee. But I have found more happiness and contentment since I came back home to San Francisco than any man has a right to deserve. This is the friendliest city in the world." Joe DiMaggio, at his fiftieth birthday party.

"East is East, and West is San Francisco"~O.Henry

"San Francisco has only one drawback. ''Tis hard to leave" -Rudyard Kipling

"No city invites the heart to come to life as San Francisco does. Arrival in San Francisco is an experience in living"
-William Saroyan

"The cool, grey city of love."~ George Sterling

"The coldest winter I ever saw was the summer I spent in San Francisco."

"I have always been rather better treated in San Francisco than I actually deserved."-Mark Twain

"Leaving San Francisco is like saying goodbye to an old sweetheart.
You want to linger as long as possible. "-Walter Cronkite

Playing around with a few images for craigslist ads....

What do you think???

Neighborhood Joy

How amazing is this rose garden. I am thinking of printing these all different sizes and making a wall collage. Stay tuned....

Karen & Mitchell's wedding.

I was lucky enough to take some practice shots at Karen and Mitchell's wedding in West Covina a few weekends ago. I went to Pepperdine with Karen and through Juli was able to reconnect to share in her special day. Karen and Mitchell opted for the shotgun wedding so they could embark together to travel the world before Mitchell has to start school to further his career as a rocket scientist. In only two months, with the help of their friends and family, they put together one of the sweetest weddings I have seen.  All the details were handmade, from the burlap table cloths, to the event cards and table settings. Being crafty myself, I was blown away....

Cheers to Karen and Mitchell, Bon Voyage!!
